No. You do not need a Substack to participate in the Kingdom Collab Gala. You are welcome to apply as long as you have a high-quality, aligned freebie and are able to meet the contributor requirements. A Substack is only needed for specific visibility features tied to the Kingdom Reads piece.
Yes, you will need an active Substack publication to be included in the Kingdom Reads feature. If you do not have a Substack, you are still welcome to participate in the event as a contributor, but this specific visibility feature is reserved for those with a publication link.
To help the Kingdom Collab Gala reach more of the right people, all accepted contributors are expected to support promotion during the event window.
Required promo includes:
- 1 Restack of the official event post on Substack — if you have a Substack publication
- Social sharing instead — if you do not have a Substack publication
- 1 email sent to your full list during the promo period
If you are unable to commit to these promotional requirements, sponsorship opportunities with no promo commitment are available — see the Priority Entry, Kingdom VIP, and Platinum VIP tiers for details.
Your freebie can absolutely lead into your broader ecosystem, and you may include a tripwire as long as the freebie is clearly accessible without requiring a credit card. The free gift must provide real standalone value and remain truly free. Out of respect for the collaborative nature and etiquette of this event, contributors may not directly pitch paid offers, services, or next steps to these leads during the live event window, but you are welcome to nurture them well and invite them into your broader offers after the event ends.
This is a curated collaboration. We review each application to make sure the freebie is high-quality, aligned with the audience, and a good fit for the overall experience. Not every application will automatically be accepted.
In order to keep the event running smoothly, all contributors must have their freebie, landing page, and required assets ready by the stated deadline. If your materials are not ready in time, your spot may be forfeited and we may not be able to include your gift in the event.
